Gauger has been in the carpet and rug industry for over 40 years.
He began to design and fabricate custom area rugs in 1983 and became nationally known for his ability to do basrelief carpet sculpturing and inlayed design.
Prism handcrafted rugs, as it was later named, began providing a wide variety of very highend floor covering services to interior designers, wholesalers and retailers all across the country.
Prism handcrafted rugs began to specialize in working with highend woven wilton carpets that require all edges to be handbound and all seams to be handsewn.
Curved stairways, shaped hallways, area rugs with fabric trimmed edges or carpet borders, yachts and aircraft have since became their mainstay.
